women cricket

Now cricket is no more only gentlemen game, women’s are ready to fire the cricket stadium giving challenge to gentleman which we have seen in women’s world cup tournament held in South Africa. Cricket, which is regarded as a gentlemen’s game cannot be called as in the future as the lovely ladies have made sufficient inroads to ensure that the Women’s International Cricket Council officially integrated to come under the umbrella of the Cricket’s governing body – the ICC.

The President of the ICC announced at the conclusion of the eighth Women’s World Cup tournament held in South Africa that the International Women’s Cricket Council had merged with the ICC to help drive the development of the games among Women as well. For over two years the Women’s International Cricket Council and the ICC have been discussing this issue. The integration of women’s cricket was formally recognised by the ICC at the Annual Conference June this year, with the first formal ICC Women’s Cricket Committee meeting also held at the same time.

The ICC Women’s Cricket committee is headed by Betty Timmer, a former Vice Chairman of the International Women’s Cricket Association. She will make recommendations to the ICC on the development of Women’s Cricket around the world. ICC President conveyed his sincere thanks to the outgoing IWCC President and the many dedicated volunteers who have supported the development of the women’s game over the years.

In Asia, India is the first South Asian country to participate in Women’s International cricket. Women have been playing big league cricket in India since 1973. Another South Asian Country Sri Lanka officially formed its Women’s Cricket Association in 1996. The Sri Lanka Women Crickets took wing to India to participate in the Women’s World Cup held in India.

Even though Pakistan is strict regarding women freedom but still they have shown some kind of liberalism towards their women citizen and had reply to those criticizers who had always pointed their democracy. Similarly Bangladesh is the other South Asian countries to form Women’s Cricket Associations. By now, all these four South Asian nations have participated in International Women’s World Cup matches. Not only players but also spectators have shown huge supports. This augurs well for the Women cricketers as this will prompt the sponsoring companies to come forward.

value of sports

Human beings have several needs and requirement. Food, clothing and housing are, no doubt, the essential in life. For this, everyone has to find some occupation or work in order to make living. Apart from these, one needs some entertainment or recreation during free or spare hours. Some of these entertainments are called hobbies. Hobbies include sport. Sports mean games of a wide range like cricket, football, soccer, volley ball, hockey, badminton, tennis etc. but nowadays games are not only played for recreation but people are involving as professional and making their carrier in their respective games. We can see number of professional club which are supporting players to make their careers, like in soccer, cricket, baseball, hockey etc. sports have been always supporting to human life whether it be from healt perspective or financially.

The chief utility of sports lies in the fact that they keep a person in good bodily condition. A sportsman remains healthy all through. Sports build up one’s muscles and put one in tight trim and good physique. The usual ailments of the stomach or the throat, headache or minor fever remain quite away from sportsmen.

In addition, a sportsman learns team spirit which is some thing very essential for success later in life. Wherever and in whatever field or sphere one may work one cannot do everything by oneself. One has to work in company with other. There are many people in the world who remain odd and eccentric, irritated and ill-tempered and do not like to mix up with other for reason of temperament and tastes. A sportsman acquires the quality of team work very early, in the field, and remains a successful man in the sphere of work because he knows to keep others cheerful and in friendship, and to give work to, or get work from others.

Sports teach discipline too. A sportsman on the field has always to act under certain discipline- the discipline of the game. Besides, there is the referee to regulate, watch and check. This inculcates a sense of discipline in the sportsman. Owing to this one accustoms oneself to working under proper rules and regulation. One thus develops a disciplined mode of life not only in one’s sphere of work, but even in one’s domestic environments. Sports bring rich dividends to sportsmen. Whether it is the matter of getting admission to Arts College or engineering institution or of procuring jobs, sportsmen receive preference everywhere. Even for recruitment to coveted posts in the army, a sportsman is invariably preferred to a non-sportsman. At the school or the college also, a sportsman is respected well by teacher, lectures and friends around us. A sportsman brings honor to the institution when he wins a victory in a tough match.

Sports also bring fame and reputation. Many sportsmen often travel in teams to distant places just to play a match. When they are on the field they are cheered and applauded by crowds. Their names appear in the newspaper with flashy headlines and people are found discussing individual sportsman. Cricket and soccer sportsman are well known for this matter.

No doubts sports have plenty of uses to their credit, they also sometimes results in damages. Some sportsmen lose their limbs in the heat of games. In some cases legs get fractured, some become permanently disabled. Many students owing to an absorbing interest in sports ignore their lesson and remain poor in studies. Being some disadvantage sports popularity has never decreases.

small and simple

Financial institutions are mushrooming. With a view to monetizing every sector, the government came up with a liberal policy that allowed financial institution to be set up with few hassles. As a result, a large number of financial institutions from small finance companies to huge commercial banks are established, and the number is increasing every year. It seems as though there are more than one financial institution for the same target community. It is still unknown whether Nepal’s economy needs such a large number of institutions largely motivated by speculation and hedging with the expectation of making profit by gambling with people’s money. They tend to serve relatively wealthy customers. It follows that they are established on the principle of heads-i-win-tails-you-lose.in case of liquidation, the promoters do not lose. The losers are the shareholders and depositors. The promoters are on the safe side what ever happens and they always win. This is what we call capitalism.

During hard times, as has been seen during the current financial crisis, large banks become unstable in both developing and developed economies. When a huge bank goes bankrupt, the shareholder bears the brunt. However, Nepal’s economy is said to have remained untouched from the negative effect of financial crisis. But there are other risk involved that could have equivalent or even worse results in future. For instance, the recent action taken by Nepal Rastra Bank against some banks and financial institution is evidence of their instability. There are in liquidation for various other reasons rather than the current financial crisis alone.

Big banks always have the same pie to share. Like sheep following the one before, banks always seem to target the same people that other banks are already serving. Kathmandu being the major focus, banks open branches in the same paces where there are already hundred of others. Banepa, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Nepalgunj and such cities are the only other places where banks wish to operate. The sustainability of the banks can be questioned because of their intent of sharing the same pie over and over again trying to capitalize on the same segment of the economy.

In Nepal, however, the economy is mostly dominated by the small scale manufacturing, farming and services firms. They need small loan because of their small business orientation. Small local banks are the best entities for providing financial services to these enterprises and households. Small local level financial institution is best suited to provide finance to the small business that dominates the manufacturing, farming and services sectors. Evidence suggest that the impact on economic activity at the local level is high in terms of markets share, financing for small scale enterprises and uplifting the living standard of the poor. These local institutions are more likely to be stable. They can be sustained by the provision of small capital at times of crisis. In the developed countries, local level banks and financial institution have not been affected by the current financial crisis as they have continued to deal with the small local clients that they have had for years.

Nepal should understand the importance of establishing small scale, local level financial institution to mobilize the scattered capital through saving either voluntary or forced to provide finance for small scale businesses. However, scattered financial institution requires good monitoring mechanism. They need short and long term training in operating the banking business. The basis for issuing loans needs to be developed so that possible delinquency can be prevented. Transparent and efficient court procedures allow lender to seize the collateral in the event of a default. A strong body vested with power to intervene and dispose of the assets of banks in liquidation need to be performed. A reward and punishment policy will provide incentives and enhance competition. Nepal is endeavoring to eradicate poverty that has been lot of most of its people. For this to happen, it needs to make its financial institution small and simple .

Sports Globalization

Among all other country United States of America is truly the only melting pot in the world. It is the only country the blends so many different ethnic and culturally diverse individuals from all parts of the world, from all walks of life. One of the things I cherish most about sports is that no matter who you are, what you look like, what you believe in, all of that is put to the side if we are cheering for the same team. Look at a tailgate scene — the only colors that matter are the home team. You will see the rich next to the poor, black, white, and Asians all cheering together. This is what makes sports truly remarkable.

“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples, then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” — George Bernard Shawa

As the world shrinks due to technological advances and globalization becomes a shocking reality, we must adapt. Multinational companies are doing it; our sports teams are doing it, too. We may have already noticed it, maybe we haven't.

Let’s take the example of America where all of them are not from America. They came from these "other" countries or one of their great grandparents originally did. So sit back and enjoy something a little different from the norm. This is an opportunity to learn about a different sport, to appreciate a different game. Possibly one that your great grandfather played.
Additionally, let's talk a little bit about American sports. Which American sport is attempting to go global? The better question is which one isn't? We may be surprised by the answer.

That being said, let's first take a look at American sports that are being raised in the
world.

Baseball — At one time, was the most popular sport in America, and often is called "America's pastime." Today,
Major League baseball features plenty of foreign players l
ike from Dominican Republic, Japan, and Venezuela.

Basketball — Nowadays the National Basketball Association features many foreign players. You can expect to see at least one European on just about every team.

Ice Hockey — while popular in the U.S., hockey has nowhere the popularity here that it does in its home of Canada. Governed professionally by the National Hockey League, the league is dominated by Canadian players, but also features many from Russia and Scandinavian countries.

Golf — while most Americans love football, basketball, and baseball, they don't usually play these sports past their youth. Golf's popularity on the other hand, rests almost entirely on the shoulders of middle-aged men who use the game as a means of socializing, as well as conducting friendly business.

Tennis — Similarly to golf, tennis is just as popular to play as to watch. In America, the sport's popularity tends to wax and wane with the rise and fall of successful American tennis stars.

Swimming—swimming is also being popular among American where we can see lots of player from different ethnic.

Young Americans also enjoy what are usually called the "extreme sports" such as surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, dirt biking, etc., which are judged by tricks and stunts.

Ever since Yao Ming came to play basketball from China, there have been reports about his immense popularity in China and the exposure that the NBA is receiving there. But is that really where it started for China? Similarly, when Hideo Nomo came to play baseball from Japan, we saw a news story on "Hideo-vision," a large outdoor television in downtown Tokyo that played his games nonstop.

In this way we can see changing thought of people about sports and their player. Best example of sports globalization can be seen in cricket among the India and Pakistan game where people are cheering for cricket even though both countries are having political disputes.
